Mr. Stewart, a Los Angeles native, serves on the board of directors for the University of Southern California (USC) Black Alumni Association. The Alumni Association provides scholarships and mentoring to minority students attending the university. He also serves on the President’s Corporate Advisory Board of the Brotherhood Crusade; a Los Angeles non-profit committed to providing support to underserved members in the communities of Los Angeles. Simeon is active in his church, Faithful Central Bible Church, as their Director of Production Services, mentoring high school students in multimedia production services.
Mr. Washington co-founded “Save Africa’s Children” Golf Tournament (2005) with his wife Stasia, a Save Africa’s Children board member. Save Africa’s Children raises money for orphanages and children in Africa and Haiti. Michael also co-founded the Los Angeles Chapter of Blacks in Hospitality. He serves on the boards of the California Chamber of Commerce and Gateway to L.A. Business Improvement District (BID); Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and Sheraton Global General Manager Worldwide Advisory Board. Michael also managed luxury hotels in his career as the General Manager, brands such as St. Regis, Le Meridien, Westin, and Sheraton Hotels, which prepared him for airport concessions. Michael resides in San Francisco.
